This was one of largest renovations which yet again, started with an asbestos abatement (drywall). We gutted the entire house, ran proper HVAC to the upper floor and used spray foam to properly insulate the non-vented roof system. The cedar siding, while initially appearing to be in roughly shape, simply needed some TLC and a quality paint job. Today, we think back on this as one of our most memorable transformations. Following completion of the main house, we added our first of two, ‘urban barn’ inspired laneway homes. This design featured an oversized single car garage and the majority of the living space at grade with only the master bedroom and a half bath upstairs.
